If you’ve been reading the blog for any length of time, you know I am a big LORAC Cosmetics fan. Needless to say, I was surprised when I realized I’ve never done a top 10 or top 5 from LORAC. Like…how did that even happen?? Well, today we’re going to fix that! I like so many products that they put out, but these 5 are the cream of the crop for me!

OH. EM. GEE!!! You guys, the collection of the year is finally here — LORAC x Pirates of the Caribbean! If you’ve been a long time follower of my blog you know that I am a huge fan of LORAC products. What you might not know is I am also a big fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. So, of course, this collection caught my eye and stole my heart the first time I saw it. But for the skeptics and rational-thinking gals…is the quality that we know and love from LORAC there in this collection? Let’s dive in!
We all love affordable makeup, and Jesse’s Girl Cosmetics is definitely one of the more affordable lines available at some drugstores. I was so excited when I saw on LORAC’s Snapchat that they released PRO liquid lipsticks — I didn’t realize these were even in the works! But with everyone adding liquid lipstick to their line, I can’t say I’m surprised…only that it took LORAC so long to jump into the game! But liquid lipsticks are really tricky to get right so I was curious to see how they did.
Time for another Dupe or Dud showdown! Today we’re going to see if Makeup Revolution’s Iconic Pro 1 palette is a dupe for the LORAC PRO palette (which just happens to be a long time favorite of mine). The Iconic Pro palette had it’s work cut out for itself trying to prove to me that it was just as good my LORAC. Did it succeed?? 🙂
NYX Cosmetics released their new Ultimate Shadow Palettes a few weeks ago and everyone instantly connected them visually as looking like the popular Viseart palettes. These palettes are on the more expensive end for NYX, but I was able to get them on sale during a ‘Buy One Get One Half Off” and use a 20% off Ulta coupon on top of that. Much more affordable! But are they worth it?
