The 2nd Contentment Reading Challenge post! (February)

Posted by Katie Garvin at 6:30 AM
This month has been crazy-busy for me, but I managed (somehow) to work this into my post today. :-) So! Let's get on to today's post.

First of all, for those who doesn't know what this post is about...the Contentment Reading Challenge was originally started last year by Amber, over at Seasons of Humility. When she wasn't able to continue, I volunteered to take over hosting this fun challenge. If you haven't heard the 2012 Contentment Reading Challenge, but are interested in signing up, check out the original post HERE to find out more!

So, as for my own challenge, I have failed miserably this month and have read zero books. Sad, I know, but I had too many new books that needed to be read this month. I hope to do better next month, though.

How did y'all do this month?? You'll want to comment below with your progress. Why? Well, because for this monthly post, I am going to give away ONE BOOK to one of the people who has reread a book for this challenge, this month. What book will be the prize? Hmm...that will remain a surprise to be reveled when the winner is picked. *grin* But I promise you it will be a recent book, published last year...or maybe even this year!!

Soooooo! Leave a comment with how many books you've read this past month to be entered into this giveaway. If you're just joining, but have reread a book sometime this year, you can still join in on this fun giveaway. :-)

I actually have read one book so far. Took me nearly a month and a half to read it, but I did. :) I re-read The Shunning by Beverly Lewis. After watching the movie, I had to read the book again and am glad I did. I want to reread Lady of Milkweed Manor by Julie Klassen next. :)

So far, one book for me. I re-read Courting Morrow Little, and loved it as much as the first time! Not sure what's next on my list-I'll have to check my bookshelf and see what jumps out at me. :)

I have reread three books this month. Actually loving it:) Glad to be able to go back and read through some of them. I read Bamboo and Lace by Lori Wick, Whirlwind by Cathy Hake and Land of my Heart by Tracie Peterson. Trying to finish one more tonight, The Coming Storm by Tracie Peterson. Eve - Oh, I totally understand that! I was completely swamped this month, and didn't get anything reread either. But! We can always hope for the next month, right?? ;-)

Casey - I watched that movie, too, and while I've never read the book -- it sure made me want to!

I have The Lady of Milkweed Manor tempting me from my TBR pile. Can't wait to read that one. Each book I've read by Klassen I've really enjoyed. :-)

Julie - Woo-hoo! Yes, go you!! That's three books total, right? Awesome! Keep it up!

Melanie - Join the club, girl, and don't be disheartened! ;-) We can try better in March, right?!

Christina - I've heard nothing but good things about Courting Morrow Little. I confess, I still have not been able to read it. Though I own it! Just so many books to be read...ya know!

Eve - Oh, what fun! I can't participate anytime soon...but if it's okay to do it in two weeks or so, I'd love to do a fun post like this! :-)

4readin - That's a three book series, right? Sweet! I've read the first one in that series, and am looking forward to reading the rest...someday!

Sheri - I've seen that book around. Haven't read it yet. In fact, I've only read one book by Denise Hunter. But it was good!

Crystal - I hear ya! No worries, we can all try to slide one in between our books to be reviewed for March! ;-)

Charity - Wow, you go girl! Three books in one month? Awesome! I haven't read any of those books, but they sound pretty neat. Keep on rollin'!
